Principles of Microeconomics
MIT's introductory microeconomics course, taught by Jonathan Gruber, works through supply and demand, market equilibrium, consumer theory, monopoly and oligopoly, public goods, and externalities using real-world examples like gas station pricing. The OpenCourseWare page for the Fall 2018 offering posts problem sets, exams with solutions, and lecture materials at no cost, and a companion MITx Online version (14.100x, part of the Micromasters in Data, Economics, and Design of Policy) is entirely free to audit, with a fee only for the proctored exam and certificate. No prior economics background is assumed.
