Quantum Physics II
MIT OpenCourseWare's continuation of the quantum mechanics sequence, covering the general formalism of quantum mechanics, the harmonic oscillator, three-dimensional systems, angular momentum, spin, and the addition of angular momentum. The lectures and lecture notes form the basis of Barton Zwiebach's textbook Mastering Quantum Mechanics, published by MIT Press in 2022. Materials include full video lectures, lecture notes, problem sets, and exams from MIT's course 8.05. The course builds directly on introductory quantum mechanics and prepares students for 8.06 Quantum Physics III, which extends the material into modern applications. All content is freely available under MIT OpenCourseWare's license, with no enrollment or certificate involved, just the complete set of lectures and assignments used in MIT's undergraduate physics curriculum.
