MIT OpenCourseWare's Real Analysis covers the core material of undergraduate mathematical analysis: convergence of sequences and series, continuity, differentiability, the Riemann integral, sequences and series of functions, uniform convergence, and the interchange of limit operations. The course emphasizes rigorous proof construction over computation, building the abstract tools needed for further work in analysis and topology. This variant, 18.100C, is the 15-unit version that adds instruction and practice in written and oral presentation, fulfilling MIT's Communication Intensive requirement, and places early emphasis on point-set topology and n-space rather than restricting attention to the real line. Materials include lecture notes, problem sets, and exams as published by MIT OpenCourseWare, free to access under a Creative Commons license with no certificate offered.
