MIT OpenCourseWare's graduate course on chemical rocket propulsion covers the modeling of solid, liquid-bipropellant, and hybrid rocket engines used in launch, orbital, and interplanetary flight. Lessons work through thermochemistry, prediction of specific impulse, and nozzle flow analysis including real gas and kinetic effects. The syllabus also addresses structural constraints on engine design, propellant feed systems, turbopump machinery, and combustion processes across solid, liquid, and hybrid propulsion types.
