Selected Topics in Cryptography
An MIT OpenCourseWare graduate course covering advanced topics beyond an introductory cryptography class. The first unit tackles how to define security for cryptographic protocols running on modern networks, using the universally composable security framework to build protocols that provably meet these definitions. The second unit examines the theoretical and practical challenges of designing secure electronic voting systems. The third unit introduces cryptographic constructions built from bilinear pairings. Materials include MIT's lecture notes, readings, and problem sets from the Electrical Engineering and Computer Science department, free to access through OCW with no certificate offered. Suited to students who already have a foundation in cryptography and want to go deeper into protocol design and voting security.
