Classical Mechanics
Newtonian mechanics from the ground up, taught through MIT's self-paced 8.01SC format rather than a single lecturer at a podium. The course is built as short topic videos grouped into 12 weeks, starting with a vectors review and moving through kinematics, Newton's laws, circular motion, momentum, energy, collisions, and rotational dynamics through Week 12 on rolling motion. Each week pairs its videos with worked examples and a graded problem set, and the course includes a free online textbook. Instructors include Deepto Chakrabarty and Peter Dourmashkin, with Anna Frebel among the contributing faculty. By the end you can set up and solve rigid-body rotation and angular momentum problems, the material MIT uses to open its physics curriculum.
