Electromagnetics and Applications
This MIT OpenCourseWare course covers electromagnetic phenomena behind modern technologies, including wireless and optical communications, circuits, computer interconnects, microwave communications, radar, antennas, sensors, micro-electromechanical systems, and power generation and transmission. Fundamentals covered include quasistatic and dynamic solutions to Maxwell's equations, waves, radiation, diffraction, coupling to media and structures, guided waves, resonance, acoustic analogs, and forces, power, and energy. Materials include lecture notes, problem sets, and exams as published by MIT's Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, following the structure of an actual MIT undergraduate course. There is no certificate, but the full set of course materials is available for self-study at your own pace, making it suitable for students who already have a background in electromagnetics fundamentals and want to see them applied to real engineering systems.
