Experimental Projects II (16.622)
This MIT OpenCourseWare course is the second half of the Experimental Project Lab sequence in the Department of Aeronautics and Astronautics, following Experimental Projects I (16.621). Students design, build, and test their own experimental apparatus, take systematic measurements of physical phenomena, and compare results against theoretical predictions. The course emphasizes the practical craft of engineering experimentation, from equipment construction to data analysis, and trains students in technical communication through a written final project report and formal oral presentations, with guidance given on structuring multi-section reports and presenting findings. Course materials include project assignments and presentation instructions from MIT's Department of Aeronautics and Astronautics, freely available to audit through OpenCourseWare, though no certificate is offered. It functions as the practice-side counterpart to the theory covered in 16.621.
