Introduction to Electrical Engineering and Computer Science I
MIT's introductory course pairs electrical engineering and computer science through laboratory work built around mobile robots. Lecture videos from Professor Dennis Freeman and recitation videos developed by teaching assistant Kendra Pugh walk through modularity and abstraction as design principles, then apply them to software engineering, linear systems analysis, electronic circuits, and decision-making. The course teaches students to build mathematical models of real systems as a tool for design and analysis, not just theory. Materials include full course notes, software and design labs, homework assignments with extra exercises, and nano-quizzes and exams with solutions, making it usable for independent study.
