This MIT OpenCourseWare course covers introductory classical mechanics for students comfortable with calculus. Topics move from vectors and kinematics through forces, momentum, and energy, then into angular motion, angular momentum, gravity, and planetary motion, finishing with moving reference frames and the motion of rigid bodies. Materials include full video lectures, lecture notes, problem sets with solutions, and exams with solutions, mirroring the on-campus MIT syllabus. The course is built for self-study, with enough structure to work through topic by topic or use as a reference for specific mechanics problems like orbital motion or rigid body dynamics. No enrollment or certificate is offered, but all course materials are free to access and reuse under a Creative Commons license.
