Technology Strategy
MIT Sloan School of Management's graduate course on managing technology-intensive businesses. Students learn a series of strategic frameworks and conceptual models that clarify how competition, technological change, market change, and organizational capabilities interact. The course focuses on analytical tools for deciding which technologies to invest in, how to structure those investments, and how to anticipate competitor, supplier, and customer behavior, rather than on managing product or process development itself. Materials available through MIT OpenCourseWare include lecture notes, readings, and assignments used in the actual MIT classroom. The course targets students interested in managing technology-driven businesses, consulting, or venture capital, and it is free to audit with no certificate offered through OCW.
