MIT's Department of Aeronautics and Astronautics offers this hands-on course in designing, building, and debugging printed-circuit-boards for avionics prototypes. The course covers the shift from protoboards and wirewrap toward iterative PCB manufacturing, where a rough prototype board gets a design far closer to final form than breadboard testing ever could, and where cutting traces and adding jumpers becomes a normal debugging step rather than a permanent flaw. Materials include MIT OpenCourseWare lecture notes, design exercises, and project-based assignments covering schematic capture, board layout, and hardware debugging techniques. The course is free to audit through MIT OpenCourseWare, with no certificate offered. It suits students or engineers who want practical grounding in electronics prototyping workflows used in real aerospace hardware development.
